Tiffany Majette, who you might know as Orion Sun, is a talented American singer, songwriter, and music producer. She can also play many different instruments! Orion Sun grew up in New Jersey but now lives on the West Coast.

Tiffany Majette was born and raised in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. From a young age, she loved music. She found a lot of inspiration from the songs she heard at the Bethany Baptist Church.

Starting Out

In Philadelphia, Tiffany Majette joined a group of musicians called The Forest. This group created music together. Later, she shared her first song, "Voicemail," on YouTube in 2013.

First Albums and Songs

In 2017, Orion Sun released a collection of songs called A Collection of Fleeting Moments and Daydreams. The next year, she put out two singles, "S T R E T C H" and "Nirvanaaa." Her first full album, Hold Space for Me, came out in 2020. It was released with a music company called Mom + Pop. A music critic from Pitchfork described the album as "stark [and] lightly poetic."

Music for Change

In 2020, Tiffany Majette wrote a song called "Mama's Baby." She wrote it after an event in her hometown. She sold the song on Bandcamp and raised over $18,000. She then donated all the money to help others. This included a fund for Breonna Taylor and the Loveland Foundation.

Recent Releases and Tours

Orion Sun released her first EP, Getaway, in 2022. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs. Famous producers like Rostam Batmanglij helped create this EP. In 2023, she performed as an opening act for Daniel Caesar on his Superpowers World Tour. In 2024, Orion Sun released two new songs, "Already Gone" and "Mary Jane." Her newest album, Orion, came out on September 20, 2024. She then started her own tour called The Rising Sun Tour.
