Ashton Dumar Norwill Simmonds (born April 5, 1995), known as Daniel Caesar, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He became famous by releasing his own music. His first album, Freudian, came out in 2017. It was nominated for three Grammy Awards.
In 2021, Daniel Caesar sang on Justin Bieber's hit song "Peaches". This song became his first number-one hit in the US. His latest album, Never Enough, was released in 2023.

Ashton Simmonds was born on April 5, 1995, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in Oshawa. He is one of four children. His father, Norwill Simmonds, is a pastor and gospel singer.
