The Ouest department is on the western side of Haiti. To its northwest is the Artibonite Department. The Centre Department is to its northeast. To the west, you'll find the Gulf of Gonâve, which is a large bay. The famous Gonâve Island is also part of this department. Ouest also shares a border with the Dominican Republic to the east.
