Station History
Outram Park MRT Station has grown a lot over the years. It started with just one train line and now connects to many more.
Key Dates
- 12 December 1987: The station first opened its doors. It was part of the East West MRT Line.
- 20 June 2003: The North East MRT Line began operating. This made Outram Park an interchange station, meaning you could switch between two lines here.
- 29 August 2012: Plans for the Thomson-East Coast MRT Line were announced. This news meant Outram Park would become a triple interchange station!
- 2021: The Thomson-East Coast MRT Line is expected to start running.
