A Look Back in Time
Oxford was first settled in September 1864 by people who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This city has some interesting historical connections. It's where Harold B. Lee once taught school. He later became a leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Oxford is also where Jefferson Hunt passed away. Hunt was an early settler who also belonged to the Church. He is buried near Red Rock Pass.
