Pallavi Sharda (born March 5, 1988) is an actress and dancer from Australia. She has Indian heritage. In 2010, she won the Miss India Australia beauty pageant.
Pallavi is well-known for her role in the movie Lion (2016), which was nominated for an Academy Award. She has also acted in many Hindi films like Besharam (2013) and Hawaizaada (2015). In Australia, she starred in the film Save Your Legs! (2012) and the TV show Les Norton (2019). More recently, Pallavi has appeared in movies like Tom & Jerry (2021) and the romantic comedy Wedding Season (2022). She also starred in the TV series The Twelve.

Early Life and Education
Pallavi Sharda was born in Perth, Western Australia. Her parents, Hema and Nalin Kant Sharda, are from India. They both have advanced degrees in science and engineering. They moved to Australia in the 1980s before Pallavi was born.
Pallavi grew up in Melbourne. She attended Lowther Hall and received an academic scholarship. At just 16 years old, she started university at the University of Melbourne. She studied law, media, and communications, and also learned French. She graduated with honors. In 2010, Pallavi moved from Melbourne to Mumbai, India, to start her acting career.
Acting Career
Pallavi Sharda moved to Mumbai in 2008 to pursue acting. She began her Bollywood career with a small role in Karan Johar's film My Name Is Khan (2010).
In 2010, she was crowned Miss India Australia in Sydney. Her next big role was in the film Dus Tola (2010). She played Geeta, a village dance teacher. Critics praised her performance in the movie. From 2011 to 2012, Pallavi was the main actress in the musical Taj Express.
Australian and Bollywood Films
Pallavi made her Australian film debut in the comedy Save Your Legs (2013). After that, she appeared in the Bollywood film Besharam. Her next Bollywood movie was Hawaizaada (2015). This film was inspired by the true story of Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, who is believed to have flown an unmanned aircraft in 1895. Pallavi received good reviews for her role as a dancer in this film.
In 2016, Pallavi joined Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman in the Hollywood film Lion. Her next Bollywood movie, Begum Jaan, came out in 2017.
Television Roles
Pallavi Sharda has also starred in several TV shows. She played a main role in ABC Australia's medical drama Pulse. Her work in this show earned her the "Rising Star" award from the Casting Guild of Australia. She also played Georgie in the ABC-TV series Les Norton.
