Pamelia is a small town located in Jefferson County, New York, in the United States. In 2010, about 3,160 people lived there. The town got its name from Pamelia Williams. She was the wife of General Jacob J. Brown, who was a big landowner in the area.
Pamelia is in the north-central part of Jefferson County. It is just north of the city of Watertown.

Pamelia's Early History
People first started living permanently in the Pamelia area around 1804.
The town of Pamelia was officially created in 1819. It was formed from a part of the nearby town of Brownville. For a short time around 1824, its name was changed to "Leander." But soon after, it was changed back to "Pamelia." A small piece of the town of Orleans was added to Pamelia in 1824. Later, in 1869, a small southern part of Pamelia became part of Watertown when that city grew.
Geography and Rivers
Pamelia covers a total area of about 91.2 square kilometers (about 35.2 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 87.6 square kilometers (33.8 square miles). The rest, about 3.5 square kilometers (1.4 square miles), is water.
The southern border of Pamelia is next to the city of Watertown. The Black River flows along the southwestern edge of the town.

Several important roads pass through Pamelia:
- Interstate 81 is a big highway in the western part of town.
- New York State Route 37 runs north and south, east of Interstate 81.
- New York State Route 342 goes east and west. It crosses NY-37 at a place called Pamelia Center.
- New York State Route 12 crosses the southwestern part of Pamelia.
- U.S. Route 11 also crosses the southern part of the town.

- Perch River – A stream that flows partly through the northern part of the town.

- Frank Leach – He was a politician who served in the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was also a businessman and was born right here in Pamelia.
