Panagiotis Retsos (born August 9, 1998) is a professional footballer from Greece. He plays as a centre-back for the Super League club Olympiacos. He also plays for the Greece national team.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Olympiacos
In the summer of 2016, when he was 18, Panagiotis Retsos joined the main team of Olympiacos. His coach was impressed by how much energy he had. On August 25, 2016, he played his first game for the club in a Europa League match.
On February 8, 2017, Retsos became the captain of Olympiacos in a Greek Cup game. He was only 18 years, five months, and 30 days old. This made him the youngest captain in the club's history!
Moving to Bayer Leverkusen
On August 30, 2017, Retsos moved to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. He signed a five-year contract. On September 17, 2017, he played his first game in the Bundesliga, which is Germany's top football league. He was even voted "Man of the Match" by the club's fans!
On April 9, 2018, Retsos scored his first goal in the Bundesliga. He played in 20 games during his first season with Bayer Leverkusen.
Later, Retsos faced some injuries that kept him off the field. He worked hard to recover and returned to play in October 2019.
Loan to Sheffield United
On February 1, 2020, Retsos joined Sheffield United in England on a temporary deal. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused football games to stop. Because of this, Retsos did not get to play any matches for the club before returning to Bayer Leverkusen.
Loan to Saint-Étienne
On October 4, 2020, Retsos went on loan to Saint-Étienne in France. He faced more injuries during this time. He played a few games, including one against PSG, but injuries continued to affect his playing time.
Playing for Hellas Verona
On January 25, 2022, Retsos moved to Hellas Verona in Italy. He signed a contract for 18 months.
Returning to Olympiacos
On August 31, 2022, Panagiotis Retsos returned to his first club, Olympiacos, on a loan deal. He later rejoined the club permanently.
International Career
Retsos made his first appearance for the Greece national team on August 31, 2017. This was during a qualifying match for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
