About Paris Jackson's Life
Early Life and Family (1998–2009)
Paris Jackson was born on April 3, 1998, in Beverly Hills, California. She was named Paris because her father, Michael Jackson, and his sister La Toya had a promise with their friend Kathy Hilton to name a daughter Paris. She is the middle child and only daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.
Paris has an older brother named Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. ("Prince"). She also has a younger half-brother named Prince Michael Jackson II ("Bigi"). Paris was raised by her father after her parents divorced in 2000. Her godparents are actress Elizabeth Taylor and actor Macaulay Culkin. When she was a child, Paris and her brothers often wore masks in public. This was to help keep their faces private from the media.
Paris's father, Michael Jackson, sadly passed away on June 25, 2009. After his death, Paris and her brothers went to live with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson. They also lived with their cousin, Tito Joe Jackson ("TJ"). At her father's memorial service, 11-year-old Paris spoke about how much she loved him.
