Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson was born on April 3, 1998, in Beverly Hills, California. She was named after the city of Paris. Her name also came from a promise her father and aunts made when they were younger. Paris is the middle child and only daughter of singer Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.

She has an older brother, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (known as "Prince"). She also has a younger half-brother, Prince Michael Jackson II (known as "Bigi"). Paris was raised by her father after her parents divorced in 2000. Her father wanted to raise the children.

Paris grew up at Neverland Ranch with her siblings. Her godparents were actress Elizabeth Taylor and actor Macaulay Culkin. When she was a child, Paris and her siblings often wore masks in public. This helped to keep their faces private from the public and the media.

When Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, Paris and her siblings went to live with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson. They also lived with their cousin, Tito Joe Jackson ("TJ"). On July 7, 2009, at her father's televised memorial service, 11-year-old Paris spoke. She said, "I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine." She added, "And I just wanted to say I love him so much."

Starting Her Career (2010–2018)

In 2010, Paris and her brothers appeared in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. They talked about their lives after their father's death. Paris and Prince also accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award for their father at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Paris attended the Buckley School, a private school in California. There, she played flag football and softball, and was a cheerleader.

In 2011, Paris was set to star in a children's fantasy film called Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys. However, the movie was not produced. Paris, Prince, Bigi, and their grandmother planned a documentary film. It was called Remembering Michael and was meant to honor Michael Jackson.

In January 2017, Paris Jackson was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. In March 2017, she signed a modeling contract with IMG Models. She also made her acting debut that month. She had a guest role on the FOX TV series Star.

Paris made her first movie appearance in Gringo in 2018. She also formed a music duo called The Soundflowers with musician Gabriel Glenn.
