Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin (born Macaulay Carson Culkin on August 26, 1980) is an American actor and musician. He is known as one of the most successful child actors of the 1990s. For his work, Culkin has received a Golden Globe Award nomination and other awards. In 2023, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Culkin became famous for playing Kevin McCallister in the Christmas comedy movie Home Alone (1990). He played the role again in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). He also starred in popular movies like My Girl (1991), The Good Son (1993), and Richie Rich (1994).

After taking a break from acting in 1995, Culkin returned in 2003. He appeared in movies like Party Monster (2003) and Saved! (2004). He also starred in the tenth season of the TV show American Horror Story (2021).

From 2013 to 2016, Culkin was the lead singer of a comedy rock band called The Pizza Underground. In 2018, he started a comedy website and podcast called Bunny Ears.

Early Life and Family

Macaulay Carson Culkin was born on August 26, 1980, in New York City. He was the third of seven children. His father, Christopher "Kit" Culkin, was a former actor, and his mother was Patricia Brentrup. His brothers Kieran and Rory are also actors. His aunt is actress Bonnie Bedelia.

During his childhood, his family lived in a small apartment and did not have a lot of money. Culkin has said that he had a difficult relationship with his father, who managed his early career. His parents separated when he was a teenager. Later, Culkin took legal steps to make sure his parents could not control the money he earned from his movies.

In 1990, Culkin became a huge star playing Kevin McCallister in Home Alone. The movie was a massive success all over the world. For his performance, Culkin was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

In 1991, he starred in the movie My Girl and appeared in Michael Jackson's music video for the song "Black or White". He also hosted the popular TV show Saturday Night Live.

He returned as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). He also starred in other movies like The Good Son (1993) and Richie Rich (1994). By this time, he was one of the highest-paid child actors in Hollywood.

After Richie Rich, Culkin decided to take a break from acting. He wanted to have a more normal life and go to high school.

Return to Acting

After a few years away, Culkin returned to acting in 2000 in a London play called Madame Melville. In 2003, he guest-starred on the TV show Will & Grace.

In 2018, Culkin started a popular website and podcast called Bunny Ears. In the same year, he reprised his role as Kevin McCallister in a famous commercial for Google Assistant. In 2019, he appeared in the movie Changeland, directed by his friend Seth Green.

In 2021, Culkin received great reviews for his role in American Horror Story: Double Feature, the tenth season of the popular TV series. In December 2023, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His Home Alone co-star Catherine O'Hara gave a speech at the ceremony.

Personal Life

Culkin is usually private about his personal life. In 2018, he held a vote on his website to let fans choose a new middle name for him. The winning name was "Macaulay Culkin," so he legally changed his name to Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.

Relationships and Family

Culkin was married to actress Rachel Miner from 1998 to 2002. He later dated actress Mila Kunis for several years.

Since 2017, he has been in a relationship with actress Brenda Song, whom he met while filming the movie Changeland. They have two sons together. Their first son was born in April 2021, and their second was born in December 2022.

Friendships

Culkin became good friends with pop star Michael Jackson in the early 1990s. He appeared in Jackson's "Black or White" music video. Culkin is the godfather to Jackson's three children: Paris, Prince, and Michael Jr.
