Parker is a small community in central Yakima County, Washington, United States. It's not officially a city, but it's a recognized place. Parker is located along U.S. Route 97. You can find it between the towns of Union Gap and Wapato. This community is also part of the Yakama Indian Reservation. In 2010, about 154 people lived in Parker.

History of Parker
The first official plan for the town of Parker was made on January 6, 1909. A person named William Parker first settled here in 1864. The Northern Pacific Railway named the town after him in 1890.

Parker does not have its own city government. The Yakima County Sheriff's Department provides police services. There is also a local volunteer fire station to help in emergencies.
