Parque de las Ciencias facts for kids
The Parque de las Ciencias Luis A. Ferré (which means Luis A. Ferré Science Park) is a fun and educational park in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. It's all about science and has lots of cool exhibits. This park is one of many tourist spots created by the former mayor, Ramon Luis Rivera. It's named after a past Governor of Puerto Rico, Luis A. Ferré. The park closed for updates in February 2011 and reopened on January 10, 2016, after big renovations.

What You Can See and Do
The Science Park is huge, covering about 42 acres (which is like 32 football fields!). It has many exciting areas to explore.
Main Attractions
- Observatory: You can visit a natural observatory located on a hill. It's 285 feet (87 meters) above sea level, offering great views!
- Zoo: The park also has a zoo where you can see different animals.
- Artificial Lake: There's a pretty artificial lake to enjoy.
Exhibits and Themed Areas
The park features many different exhibition halls and themed areas. You can learn about:
- Archaeology: Discover ancient history and artifacts.
- Space exploration: Learn about rockets, planets, and astronauts.
- Transportation: See how people and things have moved around through history.
- Science and health: Explore how science works and how our bodies stay healthy.
The park also has special areas named after famous Puerto Rican entertainers, like comedian José Miguel Agrelot and children's entertainer Joaquín Monserrat (known as "Pacheco").

Some extra activities inside the park might cost a little more. These include the Mini Golf, Bungee Trampoline, Cups ride, Carousel, and the Human Gyroscope.
