Parsley frogs, also known as Pelodytidae, are a group of frogs. They belong to a special family of amphibians. This family has only one main group, called Pelodytes.

Parsley frogs look like typical frogs. They have smooth skin and are quite small. Most parsley frogs grow to about 5 centimeters (2 inches) long.
They are related to other frog types, like Spadefoot toads. Interestingly, scientists have found more types of parsley frogs that are now extinct than types that are still alive today.

The family of parsley frogs, Pelodytidae, includes several different species. Here are the main ones:
- Pelodytes caucasicus – This is known as the Caucasian parsley frog.
