Starting the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy

Patrick Mouratoglou wanted to give young players the chance he didn't have. He was inspired by Nick Bollettieri's famous tennis academy. In 1996, Patrick teamed up with experienced coach Bob Brett. They opened a tennis academy together in Montreuil, France.

They worked together for six years. Bob Brett taught Patrick a lot about coaching. After Brett left, Patrick renamed it the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. In 2016, the academy moved to Biot on the beautiful French Riviera.

Coaching Rising Stars

In 2007, Patrick began coaching 16-year-old Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. She quickly rose into the top 30 in women's tennis. He also coached Aravane Rezaï and Yanina Wickmayer. Rezaï won the 2010 Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open and entered the world top 20. Wickmayer reached world No. 12.
