Career
Public Relations
In New York, Patti Webster worked for different entertainment companies. She became an assistant at Jive Records. It was there that she "fell in love with publicity." Publicity is about helping people or companies get good attention from the public and the media.
Later, she worked at a company called Rogers & Cowan. For three years, she helped famous artists like Stevie Wonder, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Diana Ross, and Celine Dion.
In 1991, Patti started her own public relations company, W&W Public Relations. Her company focused on representing African-American celebrities. Her first client was singer Stephanie Mills. By 2013, W&W had become a very respected company. It represented many celebrities in music, sports, and entertainment. These included Patti LaBelle, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Dwight Howard, and Steve Harvey. Her company also worked with organizations like Creflo Dollar Ministries and BMI.

Author, Minister, and Community Service
Even with her success in public relations, Patti Webster believed her most important job was to share the message of Jesus Christ. She grew up in a family of church leaders. Her father, mother, great-grandmother, grandmother, and grandfather were all pastors.
In 2008, Patti wrote a book called It Happened in Church: Stories of Humor from the Pulpit to The Pews. The book was a collection of funny stories from friends, pastors, and celebrities. Patti said, "I think that if God created laughter, it isn't to be excluded from church. I think laughter is to be everywhere."
In 2011, Patti became an ordained minister. She also served as a deaconess at Shiloh Pentecostal Church in Somerville, New Jersey. This was the church in the town where she grew up.
Patti also helped many different groups. She was a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
