Paul Alexandre Belmondo was born on April 23, 1963. He is a French racing driver. He competed in Formula One for the March and Pacific Racing teams. Paul was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, France. His father was the famous actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. His grandfather was the sculptor Paul Belmondo.
Paul started his racing career in the 1980s. He raced in series like Formula 3 and Formula 3000. Even though he raced for several years, he did not finish in the top 10 in these championships.

Formula One Career
Joining March F1 Team
In 1992, Paul Belmondo joined the March F1 team. He was a "pay driver," which means he brought money to the team to help fund his racing. He achieved his best result in Formula One at the 1992 Hungarian Grand Prix. He finished in ninth place there. However, he only qualified for four more races before he ran out of money. He was then replaced by another driver, Emanuele Naspetti.
Racing with Pacific Grand Prix
Two years later, in 1994, Paul joined the Pacific Grand Prix team. This team was not very competitive. He only managed to qualify for two races with them. He was usually behind his teammate, Bertrand Gachot. After his time in Formula One, Paul focused on GT racing. He drove a Chrysler Viper GTS-R.
Starting His Own Racing Team
Paul Belmondo later started his own racing team. It was called Paul Belmondo Racing. This team competed in major championships. These included the FIA GT Championship and the Le Mans Endurance Series. The team continued racing until it closed down in 2007.

24 Hours of Le Mans Results
Paul Belmondo competed in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race several times. This is a very long endurance race. Drivers and their teams try to complete as many laps as possible in 24 hours. He raced different cars like the Porsche 956 and Jaguar XJ220. In 2005, his team, Paul Belmondo Racing, achieved a great result. They finished 3rd in the LMP2 class.

Personal Life
Paul Belmondo married Luana Tenca in 1990. Luana Belmondo is a former model. She is now known as a TV chef and broadcaster. Paul and Luana have three children together. Their son, Victor, is an actor. In June 2024, Paul and Luana shared that they had separated in January and were getting a divorce.
