A Look Back: Pearson's History
Pearson started in 1875. It was a train station along the Brunswick and Western Railroad. The community officially became a town in 1890. Later, in 1916, it was recognized as a city. Pearson was named after Benajah Pearson. He was a brave soldier who fought in the Second Seminole War.
