Pennsboro is a small city located in Ritchie County, West Virginia, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,050 people lived there. This city is an important spot because it's where two main roads, U.S. Route 50 and West Virginia Route 74, meet. The North Bend Rail Trail, a popular path for walking and biking, also goes through the city.
The town of Pennsboro was first planned out around 1820 by a person named Charles Penn. He created a map of the land and divided it into lots for buildings. The city was then named after him.
