Pepper Creek is a stream in southern Delaware, United States. It is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) long. This creek flows through Sussex County and is an important part of the local water system.

About Pepper Creek

Pepper Creek starts in a place called Cypress Swamp. This swamp is located in the southern part of Sussex County. The starting point is about 3 miles (5 kilometers) north of the Maryland state line.

Its Journey to the Bay

The creek generally flows towards the east-northeast. As it travels, it passes by the town of Dagsboro. Eventually, Pepper Creek flows into Indian River Bay. This bay is an inlet of the large Atlantic Ocean. The mouth of the creek is about 2 miles (3 kilometers) northwest of Millville.

Connected Waterways

The upper part of Pepper Creek is connected to other water systems. Channels and ditches link it to the beginning of the Pocomoke River. This connection helps water move between these different areas.
