Perdido Beach is a small town in Alabama, United States. It's located right on the northern shore of Perdido Bay, a beautiful body of water. This town is nestled between two creeks, Soldier Creek and Palmetto Creek.
In 2009, the people living in this area decided they wanted to become an official town. They held a special vote called a plebiscite. More than 60% of the voters said "yes" to becoming a town. So, on June 10, 2009, Perdido Beach officially became a town.
According to the 2020 census, about 555 people live in Perdido Beach. It is also part of a larger area called the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metropolitan area. This means it's connected to other nearby cities like Daphne, Fairhope, and Foley.

Becoming a Town
In recent years, the area around Perdido Beach, especially in southern Baldwin County, has grown a lot. Other cities nearby, like Orange Beach, were interested in the land along Perdido Bay.
To avoid being taken over by a larger city, the people of Perdido Beach decided to become their own town. They formed a group called the Perdido Beach Property Owners and Residents Association. This group worked to make the town official.
On April 21, 2009, the residents voted to incorporate. This made Perdido Beach the fourteenth official town in Baldwin County.
