Peter Andre (born Peter James Andrea on 27 February 1973) is a famous British-Australian singer, songwriter, and TV personality. He was born in England to parents from Cyprus, and he grew up in Australia.
Peter Andre became very popular in the mid-1990s as a singer. His songs "Flava" and "I Feel You" both reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1996. Later, in 2004, he appeared on the TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. This made him popular again, and his 1995 song "Mysterious Girl" became a number one hit when it was re-released. Peter Andre has continued to work in music and television. He competed in Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 and starred in the Katie & Peter TV shows from 2004 to 2009 with his former wife, Katie Price.

Early Life and Beginnings
Peter James Andrea was born on 27 February 1973 in Harrow, London, England. His parents were from Cyprus. He was raised in a religious family. His brother, Andrew, passed away in 2012. Another brother, Chris, is also a musician and lives in Cyprus.
When Peter was six years old, his family moved to Australia. They first lived in Sydney and then settled in Gold Coast when he was nine. At 14, he came in second place in a dancing competition. The prize was to meet the famous singer Michael Jackson.
In 1989, when he was 16, Peter Andre was a contestant on an Australian talent show called New Faces. This led to him getting a recording contract. During this time, he lived in Surfers Paradise and went to Benowa State High School.
Peter Andre's Music Journey
Peter Andre traveled to the UK to work with music producers Phil Harding and Ian Curnow. There, he recorded his first single, "Drive Me Crazy", and his big hit, "Gimme Little Sign". The producers remembered him as very enthusiastic and a good singer.
In 1992, "Drive Me Crazy" was released. It reached number 72 in Australia but was a number one hit in many parts of Africa. "Gimme Little Sign" reached number 3 in Australia and stayed on the charts for 31 weeks. In 1993, Peter Andre won an ARIA Award for the highest-selling Australian single of the year.
His second album came out in 1996 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. This album included the popular song "Mysterious Girl". It first reached number 2 in the UK in 1996. After Peter Andre appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, "Mysterious Girl" was re-released and became a number one hit. This brought Peter Andre back into the spotlight in the UK.
On 14 September 2009, Peter released his sixth album, Revelation. Songs like "Behind Closed Doors" and "Unconditional" were popular, and the album reached number 3 in the UK charts.
Peter Andre on Television
During their marriage, Peter Andre and Katie Price starred in a series of reality TV shows called Katie & Peter on ITV2. These shows followed their lives together. The series included:

In July 2010, Peter Andre was a team captain on the ITV show Odd One In. In 2013, he was a guest judge on Your Face Sounds Familiar. He also guest-presented five episodes of Sunday Scoop. Since November 2013, Peter Andre has presented 60 Minute Makeover, which is now called Peter Andre's 60 Minute Makeover.
In 2014, Peter Andre released the song "Kid" for the film Mr. Peabody & Sherman. This song was from his album Big Night. He also co-hosted the ITVBe launch show with Jamelia in 2014. That same year, he became the new face for Iceland supermarket TV commercials.
Peter Andre has also starred in the ITV series Give a Pet a Home. This show works with the RSPCA to help animals find homes. In August 2015, he joined Strictly Come Dancing as a contestant. He finished in seventh place.
In 2018, Peter Andre voiced Ace the race car in the Thomas & Friends movie Big World! Big Adventures!. He voiced the character again in 2020 for the show's 24th season. In December 2023, Peter Andre joined the news channel GBNews as a weekend show presenter.
Peter Andre's Family Life

Peter Andre started dating model Katie Price after they met on the reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in early 2004. They got engaged and married on 10 September 2005 at Highclere Castle. They had two children together. Peter was also a stepfather to Katie's son from a previous relationship. They separated in May 2009 and divorced in September of that year.
In July 2012, Peter Andre began a relationship with Emily MacDonagh, who is a doctor. Their first child together was born in 2014. They got married in 2015 at Mamhead House. In 2016, they had a son. In April 2024, they welcomed another daughter. They live in Surrey.
Since his parents are Greek Cypriot, Peter Andre enjoys connecting with his heritage. He has a home in Kiti.
