Peter Renaday (born September 6, 1935 – died September 8, 2024) was an American actor and voice artist. He worked for over 60 years in TV, movies, radio, and even theme parks. You might know him best as the voice of Splinter from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. He also voiced famous characters like Abraham Lincoln at The Hall of Presidents and Henry and Max at Country Bear Jamboree in Walt Disney World.

Peter Renaday was born as Pierre Laurent Renoudet in New Iberia, Louisiana, on September 6, 1935. He started acting in 1965 in a TV show called Combat!.
Becoming Master Splinter
In the 1980s, Peter Renaday got a super cool role: the voice of Splinter in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon! Splinter is a big, wise mutant rat who teaches the turtles all about ninjitsu and martial arts. Peter voiced Splinter from 1987 until the show ended in 1996. He even voiced Splinter for parts of a live concert called TMNT: Coming Out of Their Shells in 1990.
His Family Life
Peter Renaday was married to Florence "Flo" June Daniel from 1979 until she passed away in 2011. Florence also worked at the Walt Disney Studios for 35 years! She was a secretary in the music department. She was also a talented singer and even sang on a Christmas album produced by Disneyland Records in 1973, alongside Peter.
Peter Renaday passed away at his home in Burbank, California, on September 8, 2024, when he was 89 years old.
