Philip "Phil" Jordon (born September 12, 1933 – died June 7, 1965) was an American professional basketball player. He played for seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Phil was known for being a tall and strong player. He played as a center and power forward.

Phil Jordon was a very tall basketball player, standing 6 feet 10 inches (208 cm) tall. He played college basketball at Whitworth University from 1952 to 1955. After college, he joined the NBA.
Playing in the NBA
Phil played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for seven seasons, from 1956 to 1963. He played for several teams during his career:

The Famous 100-Point Game
Phil Jordon was part of the New York Knicks team in 1962. On March 2, 1962, the Knicks played against the Philadelphia Warriors. The Warriors had a famous player named Wilt Chamberlain.
In that game, Wilt Chamberlain scored an amazing 100 points! This is still an NBA record. Phil Jordon was not able to play in this game. He was officially reported to be sick with the flu. Some people believe his absence made it easier for Wilt Chamberlain to score so many points. This is because Phil was one of the few players big enough to guard Wilt.
