Phillips is a small city in Wisconsin, United States. It's the main town, or county seat, of Price County. In 2020, about 1,533 people lived there.

History of Phillips
Phillips was first planned out in 1876. It was named after Elijah B. Phillips. He was a manager for the Wisconsin Central Railway. The town started as a place where people worked with trees and wood.
In the summer of 1894, a very bad fire happened. It spread from the southwest and burned down the whole town. Everyone had to leave to be safe. Sadly, 13 people died in the fire.
After the fire, the people of Phillips worked hard to rebuild their town. It grew bigger in the years that followed. Today, there is a special memorial by Lake Duroy. It reminds everyone of the big fire.
Where Phillips Is Located
Phillips is in Wisconsin. You can find it at these coordinates: 45°41′30″N 90°24′7″W / 45.69167°N 90.40194°W. It is on Highway SR 13. The city is about 77 miles north of Marshfield. It is also about 74 miles south of Ashland.
The United States Census Bureau says that Phillips covers about 3.51 square miles (9.1 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 2.79 square miles (7.2 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.72 square miles (1.9 square kilometers), is water.

In 2010, there were 1,478 people living in Phillips. They lived in 695 homes. About 338 of these were families. The city had about 530 people per square mile.

Phillips Airport
Phillips has its own airport called Price County Airport (KPBH). It is just one mile northwest of the city. In 2023, the airport had about 18,100 flights. That's almost 50 flights every day! Most of these were small private planes.
The airport has two runways. The main runway is 5,220 feet long and made of asphalt. The other runway is 3,951 feet long.
