How to Play Picross 3D: Round 2
Picross 3D: Round 2 has gameplay similar to the first Picross 3D game. It takes the rules of Picross puzzles and brings them into 3D!
Solving 3D Puzzles
In each puzzle, you see a big block of cubes. Numbers on the rows and columns give you clues. You need to figure out which blocks to keep and which to break away. Your goal is to reveal a hidden 3D model of an object or character.
Using Colors to Solve Puzzles
This game adds a cool new feature: two kinds of colored blocks!
- Blue blocks are for straight, square shapes.
- Orange blocks turn into curved or cut-out shapes when you fill them in.
This means you'll see "dual numbers" on rows and columns. These numbers tell you if a row or column has both blue and orange blocks. You must paint each block the correct color to solve the puzzle.
Helpful Tools and Challenges
If you destroy a block by mistake, or paint it the wrong color, you will get a penalty. But don't worry, there are tools to help you!
- You can use flags to mark blocks you think might be a certain color. This helps you plan your moves.
- Bombs let you quickly clear out rows and columns that don't have any blocks you need.
You can also unlock more puzzles by scanning special amiibo figures. The game has over 370 puzzles to solve, with many color variations for the blocks.
