João Carlos Batista Pinheiro, known simply as Pinheiro, was a famous Brazilian football player. He was born on January 13, 1932, in Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil. Pinheiro became well-known for playing as a defender. He played for the Fluminense club and also for the Brazil national football team. He holds a special record at Fluminense. Pinheiro played 605 matches for the club, which is more than any other player in their history. He passed away on August 30, 2011.
