This community is found along Olmsted County Road 1, near County Road 140, and is close to the cities of Rochester and Stewartville.
A Look Back: Pleasant Grove's History
Pleasant Grove was officially planned and mapped out, or "platted," in 1854. It was given its name because of a lovely group of oak trees that grew near the original town site. In the same year, a post office was opened in Pleasant Grove. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years before it closed down in 1905.
