Pokémon Pinball (also known as ポケモンピンボール or Pokemon Pinbōru in Japan) is a fun pinball video game. It was made by a company called Jupiter and released by Nintendo. You could play it on the Game Boy Color game console.
This game mixes the excitement of pinball with the world of Pokémon. It's based on the popular Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue games. Just like those games, your main goal is to find and catch all 150 Pokémon. You do this to complete your Pokédex, which is like a digital encyclopedia for Pokémon.
Pokémon Pinball was one of the few Game Boy games that used a special "rumble" feature. This made your Game Boy vibrate during the game, adding to the excitement!
About the Game
Pokémon Pinball was released in Japan on April 14, 1999. It came out in North America on June 28, 1999. Players in Australia got it on July 13, 1999, and in Europe on October 6, 2000.
The game lets you play on two different pinball tables: a Red table and a Blue table. Each table has different Pokémon you can catch. You use the flippers to keep the Poké Ball in play. You also hit targets to catch Pokémon and earn points.
How to Play
The main goal in Pokémon Pinball is to catch Pokémon. You do this by hitting certain targets on the pinball table. Once you hit enough targets, a Pokémon will appear. Then, you need to hit the Pokémon with the Poké Ball a few times to catch it.
You can also evolve your Pokémon in the game. This happens by hitting specific targets after catching a Pokémon. The game has bonus stages too, where you can try to catch rare Pokémon.
Other Pokémon Pinball Games
Because Pokémon Pinball was so popular, Nintendo released another game in the series. In 2003, they launched Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire. This game was made for the Game Boy Advance console. It featured Pokémon from the Ruby and Sapphire versions of the main Pokémon games.
