Polina Berezina was born in Moscow, Russia. Since 2001, she has lived in Alicante, Spain. When she was 7 years old, Polina started learning rhythmic gymnastics in Guardamar del Segura. A year later, at age 8, she joined a Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in Torrevieja. There, she trained with coach Mónica Ferrández until 2016. In 2008, her father's job meant she lived in Moscow again for a while. During this time, she trained in both Spain with Mónica Ferrández and Russia with Oksana Skaldina.
Becoming a Spanish Gymnast

In June, she achieved a major goal: she won her first ever Spanish national all-around title! This made her the top rhythmic gymnast in Spain. She also competed at the World Championships that year.
2018: Defending Her Title
Polina continued to perform well in 2018. She competed in various World Cup events and reached the all-around final at the European Championships, finishing 20th.
