The Port of Arrecife is a very important port on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is the main port for Lanzarote. It is also the second busiest port in the Canary Islands for passengers.
This port handles many different types of ships. It welcomes passenger ferries and large cruise ships. It also handles "ro-ro" cargo, which means vehicles like cars and trucks can drive on and off the ships. The port also manages other types of cargo. This includes loose materials like grain, and containers filled with goods. There is also a large area for fishing boats.
Cruise Ship Arrivals
Arrecife is a very popular stop for cruise ships. More than 400,000 cruise passengers visit the port each year. Most of these large ships now dock at a place called La Boca de Puerto Naos. This area is closer to the city center. It makes it easier for passengers to explore Arrecife.
