Pound is a small village located in Marinette County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 377 people lived there. The village is part of the larger Town of Pound. Pound is also part of the Marinette Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes areas in both Wisconsin and Michigan.

Exploring the History of Pound
The village and the surrounding town of Pound got their name from Thaddeus Coleman Pound. He was a Wisconsin state politician and a businessman who lived from 1832 to 1914. Interestingly, Thaddeus Coleman Pound was also the grandfather of the famous poet Ezra Pound.
In 1994, a company called SlimFast used Pound for a special project. SlimFast is known for its weight-loss programs. People in Pound thought the company chose their town because of its name, "Pound." However, the company said they picked Pound because it had a high rate of obesity in the United States at that time.

Pound is located in Marinette County, Wisconsin. Its exact coordinates are 45°5′37″N 88°1′58″W / 45.09361°N 88.03278°W.
The United States Census Bureau says that the village covers a total area of about 0.85 square miles (2.2 square kilometers). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large bodies of water within the village limits.

Pound's Population in 2010
According to the census taken in 2010, 377 people lived in Pound. There were 152 households and 99 families in the village. The village had about 443.5 people per square mile (171.2 people per square kilometer). There were 164 houses or other living spaces.
Most of the people in Pound (95.0%) were White. A small number were Native American (0.3%) or from other races (3.7%). About 1.1% of the population identified as being from two or more races. People of Hispanic or Latino background made up 7.2% of the population.
Out of the 152 households, 32.9% had children under 18 living with them. About 49.3% were married couples living together. Some households had a female head with no husband (10.5%), or a male head with no wife (5.3%). About 34.9% of households were not families.
Around 26.3% of all households were made up of just one person. About 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older. On average, each household had 2.48 people, and each family had 2.99 people.
The average age of people in the village was 34.3 years. About 25.2% of residents were under 18. Around 8.7% were between 18 and 24 years old. People aged 25 to 44 made up 30% of the population. Those aged 45 to 64 were 24.3%, and 11.7% were 65 or older. Slightly more males lived in Pound (51.2%) than females (48.8%).

- Dan Haggerty: He was an actor famous for playing the main character in the TV show The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams. Some sources say he was born in Pound.
- Albert E. Schwittay: He was a Wisconsin State Representative who lived in Pound.
