Prakash Yashwant Ambedkar (born on May 10, 1954) is an important Indian politician, writer, and lawyer. Many people know him as Balasaheb Ambedkar. He leads a political party called Vanchit Bahujan Agadi.
Prakash Ambedkar has been a Member of Parliament (MP) three times. This means he has been elected to represent people in the Indian Parliament. He served in both the Lok Sabha (the lower house) and the Rajya Sabha (the upper house). He represented the Akola area in Maharashtra state twice in the Lok Sabha.

About Prakash Ambedkar's Family
Prakash Ambedkar is the grandson of a very famous Indian leader, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is known for writing the Indian Constitution. Prakash Ambedkar's grandmother was Ramabai.
His father's name is Yashwant Ambedkar (also known as Bhaiyasaheb), and his mother's name is Meera. The Ambedkar family follows Buddhism. Prakash Ambedkar has two younger brothers, Bhimrao and Anandraj. He also has a sister named Ramabai, who is married to Anand Teltumbde. Prakash Ambedkar is married to Anjali Maydeo, and they have a son named Sujat.

Prakash Ambedkar is known for his political ideas and efforts to help different groups of people.
The Akola Pattern
He created a special political plan called the "Akola Pattern." This plan helps bring together many different groups of people who might feel left out. These groups include Dalits, Muslims, and other communities. The Akola Pattern is named after the Akola district in Maharashtra, which is where Prakash Ambedkar's political party is based.
Relaunching Prabuddh Bharat
In 2017, Prakash Ambedkar and his son Sujat brought back a newspaper called Prabuddh Bharat. This newspaper means "Enlightened India." His grandfather, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, first started this newspaper in 1956.
Prakash Ambedkar has also been working hard to find and save old copies of the original Prabuddh Bharat newspaper from the 1950s. Some copies were lost when a printing press was taken down in 2016.
Protecting the Indian Constitution
Prakash Ambedkar also works to keep his grandfather's important work alive. His grandfather, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, is known as the person who designed the Indian Constitution. Prakash Ambedkar believes that "The country will survive only if the Constitution survives." This shows how much he values the rules and principles of India's founding document.
