Early Life and Interests

Precious Lee was born and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father, Rudy, is a businessman, and her mother, Anita, is a teacher.

From a young age, Precious was very active. She took part in many school activities. She was in competitive cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and student government. She also joined the debate club, thespian (drama) club, and the concert band. When she was in high school, she was even crowned homecoming queen! Precious loved fashion from a young age, and her parents' style often inspired her.

Precious Lee's Modeling Career

Starting Out in Fashion

Precious Lee began modeling when she was 18 years old. At the time, she was a student at Clark Atlanta University. She went to an open casting call for a modeling agency and was offered a contract. She started her career by doing photo shoots for catalogs. She modeled part-time while she was still in college.

After college, Precious moved to New York City to become a full-time model. She signed with Ford Models. She had a backup plan to go to law school if modeling didn't work out. Precious was inspired by other "curve models" like Crystal Renn and Toccara Jones. A curve model is someone who is a bit bigger than the usual "sample size" models.

Walking the Runway

Precious Lee walked in her first fashion show in 2017 for designer Christian Siriano. Since then, she has walked in many shows during New York Fashion Week. She has modeled for famous designers such as Siriano, Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Versace, Michael Kors, and Moschino. She has also modeled fancy "couture" clothes for Jean Paul Gaultier. Precious also has a long-term partnership with the brand Marina Rinaldi.

Magazine Covers and Milestones

Precious Lee has appeared on the covers of major fashion magazines. These include Vogue, British Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar.

One of her biggest dreams came true when she walked in the spring 2021 Versace show. This was a very special moment because she was one of only three curve models to ever walk for Versace in the brand's history.

Acting and TV Appearances

In 2021, Precious Lee started acting. She made her acting debut in the STARZ TV series Run the World. She has also been a guest judge on the popular fashion design show Project Runway. In 2023, she appeared in the music video for the song "Spin Bout U" by rappers Drake and 21 Savage.
