Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream (プリティーリズムオーロラドリーム, Puritī Rizumu Ōrora Dorīmu) is a fun Japanese anime TV show. It's based on a popular arcade game. The story is about "Prism Stars" who combine singing, dancing, fashion, and ice skating. It's part of the bigger Pretty Rhythm series. This show introduces a new character, Aira Harune. It also brings back Rizumu Amamiya.

The series was made by Tatsunoko Productions and Avex Pictures. They worked with Takara Tomy and Syn Sophia. The show aired from 2011 to 2012. Each episode had a special live-action part. This segment was called "Pretty Rhythm Studio." It featured Akina Minami and the Prism Mates, who later became the group Prizmmy. After this show ended, a sequel called Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future came out in 2012.

What is Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream About?

The story happens in Yokohama, Japan. "Prism Shows" are super popular. These shows mix singing, dancing, fashion, and ice skating. The performers are called Prism Stars. They use special "Prism Stones" for their outfits. They also do amazing "Prism Jumps" to excite their fans.

Aira Harune and Rizumu Amamiya get a chance to become Prism Stars. This happens after another star, Mion Takamine, misses her first show. Aira has never performed before. But her great sense of fashion shows she's a natural Prism Star. Rizumu wants to master "Aurora Rising." This is a legendary Prism Jump her mother once performed. She hopes it will help her find her mother again.

Mion later returns and becomes friends with Aira and Rizumu. The three girls then form a Prism Star group called "MARs." Rizumu's mother suddenly reappears. Aira, Rizumu, and Mion then enter the Prism Queen series. They compete to become the Prism Queen. They also want to perfect "Aurora Rising" to help Rizumu's mother. To do this, each girl needs special "Prism Stone" sets. These sets include wedding outfits. Performing "Aurora Rising" means wearing a wedding outfit. It also means dedicating yourself only to Prism Shows.

Shō from Callings runs it, and Aira has a crush on him. Her catchphrase is "Happy, lucky!"

In the sequel, Dear My Future, Aira is 18. She becomes a designer for Prism Stone. As a Prism Star, Aira performs to the song "Dream Goes On."
