The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo is like the main leader of the government in Kosovo. They are in charge of making sure the country runs smoothly. The Prime Minister leads the Government of Kosovo, which is a team of ministers who help make decisions for the country.
The Prime Minister and their government team are responsible to the Assembly of Kosovo. This means they have to explain their actions and decisions to the Assembly, which is like Kosovo's parliament. All members of the government, including the Prime Minister, must also be members of the Assembly. The current Prime Minister of Kosovo is Albin Kurti, who started his job on March 22, 2021.

Who is the Prime Minister of Kosovo?

Leaders During the Republic of Kosova (Before Independence)
- Jusuf Zejnullahu (September 7, 1990 – October 5, 1991): He was the first person to hold the title of Prime Minister for the Republic of Kosova.
- Bujar Bukoshi (October 5, 1991 – February 1, 2000): He served for a long period during a challenging time for Kosovo.
- Hashim Thaçi (April 2, 1999 – February 1, 2000): He was a provisional Prime Minister during a specific period of change.
