How the Prime Minister's Role Works
Sometimes, before new elections for parliament, the Prime Minister steps down. This is part of an agreement called the Pržino Agreement. A special "technical" prime minister takes over for about 100 days. This temporary leader has fewer powers than a regular prime minister. This helps make sure the elections are fair. Some past technical prime ministers include Emil Dimitriev, Oliver Spasovski, and Talat Xhaferi.
