Pulaski is a small village located in Pulaski County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 154 people lived there. The village gets its name from Casimir Pulaski, a brave Polish hero who helped America during the Revolutionary War.

A Look at Pulaski's History
Pulaski started in 1852. It was first a camp for workers building the Illinois Central Railroad. A post office opened in 1856. At first, it was called "Camp Pulaski." But in 1872, the "Camp" part was dropped. Pulaski officially became a village in 1898.
Where is Pulaski?
Pulaski is located at 37°13′0″N 89°12′22″W / 37.21667°N 89.20611°W. It sits in the Cache River area, north of Cairo. The village is near Old U.S. Highway 51 and west of Interstate 57. It is also west of the Ohio River.
