The Sun Garden Conservatory
This is a huge greenhouse that feels like a tropical paradise! It's about 6,444 square feet, which is a lot of space for plants. Inside, you'll find plants from warm places, like sweet acacia trees, banana plants, and colorful bird of paradise flowers. You might even spot coffee plants or pineapples growing!
The conservatory also has a beautiful waterfall that is about 14 feet tall. There are calm pools where you can see koi fish swimming around. Look up, and you'll see a huge skylight, about 70 feet long, that lets in lots of sunshine for the plants.
Scott County Conifer Garden
Established in 2001, this garden is all about conifers. Conifers are mostly evergreen trees and shrubs that have needles or scales and produce cones, like pine trees. This garden has over 40 different types of conifers! You can see unique kinds like Ginkgo biloba 'Todd's Broom', which is a special type of ginkgo tree.
Physically Challenged Garden
This garden, created in July 2003, is designed to make gardening easy and fun for everyone, no matter their physical abilities. It has special planting beds that are at different heights. This means people can garden comfortably, whether they are standing, sitting, or using a wheelchair. It's a great example of making nature accessible to all.
Scrambled Alphabet Garden
This garden is especially for children! It's a fun and interactive space where kids can learn about plants in an exciting way.
