Quanesha Burks was born on March 15, 1995. She is an American track and field athlete. She is best known for her amazing long jump skills. Quanesha has represented the United States in big competitions. These include the 2015 Pan American Games and the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. She won a gold medal at the NACAC Championships in 2015. While in college, she was a champion long jumper for the Alabama Crimson Tide team.

Quanesha's Athletic Journey
Quanesha Burks was born in Ozark, Alabama. She went to Hartselle High School. Later, she studied at the University of Alabama. Quanesha has four younger brothers and sisters.
High School Achievements
When she was in high school, Quanesha started doing track and field. She was very good at it! In 2012, she placed third in the triple jump at the USATF Junior Olympics. The next year, in 2013, she won three events at the state championships. She won the 100-meter dash, long jump, and triple jump.
College Sports Career
Quanesha competed for the Alabama Crimson Tide team in college. She became a champion many times. She won titles in the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA. She was the first woman from Alabama to win an NCAA long jump championship. This happened at the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She also ran in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay races.
Becoming a Professional Athlete
Quanesha started competing internationally when she was 19. Her first big event was the 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics. She placed fifth in the long jump. In 2015, she won her first senior gold medal at the 2015 NACAC Championships in Athletics. She set a new record there with a jump of 6.93 meters.
She also won another gold medal in 2016. This was at the 2016 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics. She broke another record with a jump of 6.74 meters. In 2017, she competed in the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. She did not make it past the first round, but it was still a great experience. In 2018, she finished fourth at the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
