Quincy Bay is a cool part of Boston Harbor in Massachusetts, USA. It's the biggest of three smaller bays in the southern part of Boston Harbor. This bay forms a large part of the shoreline for the city of Quincy, Massachusetts. People in the Wollaston area of Quincy sometimes call it Wollaston Bay.
Exploring Quincy Bay
Quincy Bay is home to a few islands. These include Moon Island, Long Island, and Hangman Island. The bay stretches from Squantum and Dorchester Bay in the northwest. It goes all the way to Hough's Neck and Hingham Bay in the east.
Fun Along the Shore
The southwestern edge of Quincy Bay is home to Wollaston Beach. This is a popular spot for locals and visitors. You can find two yacht clubs right on Quincy Bay along Wollaston Beach. These are the Squantum Yacht Club and the Wollaston Yacht Club. They are great places for boating and water activities.
Scenic Views from Quincy Shore Drive
A road called Quincy Shore Drive runs along Quincy Bay. It's about 2.1 miles (3.4 kilometers) long. This drive is part of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation parkways. It offers amazing views of the Boston Harbor Islands. You can also see the famous Boston skyline from here. It's a perfect place for a scenic ride or walk.
