Raboin is a small, undeveloped place in Minnesota, United States. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's part of a larger area called Wilkinson Township in Cass County.

Raboin is located along a main road, State Highway 371. It is found near the towns of Cass Lake and Walker.

What's in a Name?

Raboin was named after an early settler in the area. His name was Joseph M. Raboin. He was also the very first postmaster for the community. A postmaster is the person in charge of a post office.

A Look Back in Time

Raboin had a small post office that opened in 1911. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. This post office stayed open for about 25 years. It closed down in 1936.

In its early days, Raboin was a busy little place. It had a general store where people could buy supplies. There was also a school for the children to learn. A special train track, called a spur track, connected Raboin to the Great Northern Railway. This track helped transport goods and people to and from the community.
