Rachael May Taylor (born 11 July 1984) is an Australian actress and model. She became well-known for her first main role in the Australian TV show headLand from 2005 to 2006. After that, she moved to Hollywood and appeared in many movies. Some of her famous films include Transformers (2007), Red Dog (2011), and The Darkest Hour (2011).
Rachael has also starred in popular TV series. She played Dr. Lucy Fields in Grey's Anatomy and was one of the Angels in the show Charlie's Angels. She also had main roles in 666 Park Avenue and Crisis. From 2015 to 2019, she was a main character, Trish Walker, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero shows Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and The Defenders.

Early Life and Beginnings
Rachael Taylor was born on 11 July 1984, in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Her parents are Christine and Nigel Taylor. She went to Trevallyn Primary School and Riverside High School. Rachael always dreamed of becoming an actress since she was a little girl.
Before she started acting, she spent her childhood modeling and taking part in beauty pageants. She finished high school at Riverside High School in the year 2000.
Her Acting Journey
Rachael started her career by modeling for Skye-Jilly International. She also won the Miss Teen Tasmania competition in 1998. Soon after, she began appearing in American TV movies. She played roles in films about famous people and TV shows, like playing Catherine Oxenberg in a movie about Dynasty. She also appeared in horror movies such as Man-Thing and See No Evil.
Rachael played Sasha Forbes in the Australian drama series headLand. Her role was very popular, and she was even nominated for a Logie Award in 2006 for Most Popular New Female Talent.
One of her biggest roles was as Maggie Madsen in the 2007 movie Transformers. In this film, she worked alongside Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf. She later confirmed that she would not be in the Transformers sequel. In 2008, Rachael starred in the American horror-thriller movie Shutter. Even though reviews were mixed, the movie was a success at the box office.
In 2009, she completed the Australian film Cedar Boys and starred in the comedy Splinterheads. She also appeared in the Australian romantic drama Summer Coda in 2010. Rachael also had a recurring role in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Lucy Fields, a doctor who specializes in pregnancy and childbirth.
In 2011, Rachael joined the cast of the TV series Charlie's Angels, which was a new version of the classic show. That same year, she had a major role in the Australian film Red Dog and starred in the Russian science-fiction thriller The Darkest Hour.
In 2012, Rachael had an important supporting role in the Australian comedy Any Questions for Ben?. Critics praised her performance in the film. From 2012 to 2013, she starred in the drama 666 Park Avenue. She then joined the cast of the 2014 NBC series Crisis.
In 2015, Rachael took on the role of Trish Walker, the best friend of the main character, in the superhero series Jessica Jones. She continued to play Trish Walker in other Marvel shows, including Luke Cage in 2016 and The Defenders in 2017. She also returned for the second and third seasons of Jessica Jones in 2018 and 2019.
In 2014, Rachael played a supporting role in the thriller The Loft. In 2016, she was in the crime drama film Gold. In 2018, Rachael appeared in the Australian comedy-drama film Ladies in Black. Her most recent film role was in 2019, in Finding Steve McQueen. In 2023, there were rumors she would be joining a new film project, marking her return to acting after a few years.
