Rachel Gupta was born in Patiala, Punjab, India, on January 23, 2004. She grew up in Jalandhar, Punjab, with her younger sister, Rhea. Her parents work as business professionals.

Miss Super Talent of the World 2022
When Rachel was 18, she joined the Miss Super Talent competition. This event took place in Paris, France, on September 28, 2022. About 50 countries sent their representatives to compete. The big final event happened on the same day in Paris. Rachel won the competition, becoming Miss Super Talent of the World 2022.
Miss Grand India 2024
In May 2024, Rachel was chosen as a finalist for the Miss Grand India 2024 contest. The final event was held on August 11, 2024, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Rachel was crowned Miss Grand India 2024 by the previous winner, Arshina Sumbul. During the competition, she also won special awards like Miss Top Model and Best in Ramp Walk. She also won Beauty with a Purpose and Best National Costume.
As Miss Grand India 2024, Rachel visited Thailand as a special guest. She attended the Miss Grand Suraburi 2025 competition. While there, she also helped the Foundation for Slum Child Care in Bangkok. She donated important items worth 10,000 Thai Baht to support their work.
Miss Grand International 2024
Rachel represented India at the Miss Grand International 2024 pageant. This big event was held in Thailand from late September to October 25, 2024. At the end of the competition, she was crowned the winner. The previous winner, Luciana Fuster from Peru, gave her the crown. Rachel's victory made her the first Indian to win the Miss Grand International title. She was also the third Asian person to win this crown.
On May 28, 2025, Rachel stepped down as Miss Grand International 2024. This happened because of disagreements with the Miss Grand International organization. Christine Juliane Opiaza from The Philippines then took over the title of Miss Grand International 2024.
