Raevyn Rogers (born September 7, 1996) is an amazing American track and field athlete. She is known for her incredible speed in middle-distance races, especially the 800 meters. Raevyn has won many important medals. She earned a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 800 meters. This made her one of the fastest American women ever in that race!
At the 2019 World Championships, Raevyn showed her amazing comeback skills. She was in seventh place with only 100 meters left but sprinted to win a silver medal. She also helped her team win a gold medal in the 4x400 meter relay at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. Before becoming a professional athlete in 2017, Raevyn ran for the University of Oregon women's track and field team.

Raevyn's Athletic Journey
High School Highlights
Raevyn Rogers went to The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. She was a star athlete for the Falcons team. In 2013, she won a bronze medal in the 800 meters at the World Youth Championships. She also helped her team win a gold medal in a medley relay race there. Raevyn still holds school records for the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m races. She finished high school in 2014.
College Success at Oregon
Raevyn became a very successful athlete at the University of Oregon. She won six NCAA Division I championships and was named an All-American ten times. She won the outdoor 800 meters title at the NCAA and Pac-12 Conference championships three years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017). In 2017, she also won the prestigious Women's Bowerman Award, which is like an MVP award for college track and field.
In 2015, during her first year at Oregon, Raevyn had a fantastic season. At the 2015 Penn Relays, she ran a key part of the Sprint Medley race, helping her team win. Her win at the NCAA championships helped Oregon win the team title for the first time since 1985. She also won the 800 meters at the 2015 Outdoor U.S. Junior Championships and the 2015 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. Her time of 1:59.71 at the 2015 NCAA championships was the fastest ever for a freshman.
In her final year at Oregon, Raevyn set a new college record for the 800 meters. She ran it in an amazing 1:59.10, breaking a record that had stood for 27 years!
Becoming a Professional Athlete
After her incredible college career, Raevyn became a professional athlete. She continued to compete at the highest levels. In 2018, she placed 4th in the 800 meters at the 2018 NACAC Championships in Toronto. She also finished 2nd in the 800 meters at the 2018 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
Raevyn was part of the U.S. team that set a world indoor record in the 4 × 800 meter relay in 2018. This happened at the Millrose Games in New York City. She ran a strong leg in the race, helping her team achieve a time of 8:05.89.
