Rantasalmi is a small town, also called a municipality, in Finland. It is located in the Southern Savonia region. Rantasalmi is about 43 kilometers northwest of Savonlinna and 92 kilometers northeast of Mikkeli.
As of 31 December 2023, about 3,297 people live there. The area of Rantasalmi is 925.20 square kilometres (357.22 sq mi). A big part of this area, 366.61 km2 (141.55 sq mi), is water. This means there are many lakes and rivers!
