Early Life and Move to the UK
Reginald D. Hunter was born in Albany, Georgia, on March 26, 1969. He was the youngest of nine children. When he was 20, he did an acting internship in Jackson, Mississippi.
At age 27, Hunter traveled to the United Kingdom to study at the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. His career path changed when he tried stand-up comedy for the first time as a dare. He was paid £100 for his performance and discovered he loved making people laugh. After that, he decided to become a professional comedian instead of an actor.
