Rensselaer is a small village located in Ralls County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 253 people lived there. It is part of the larger Hannibal area.

History of Rensselaer
Rensselaer was officially started in 1876. The village got its name from a school nearby called Rensselaer Academy. A post office opened in Rensselaer in 1871 and stayed open until 1953.
A special building in the village, St. Peter's Catholic Church, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This means it's an important historical site worth protecting.
