Rim Nordic is a fun place in the San Bernardino National Forest where you can go cross-country skiing in winter! It is located on Highway 18, also known as Rim of the World Drive. You will find it about 5 miles past the town of Running Springs, heading towards Big Bear Lake, California. The entrance to Rim Nordic is right across from the Snow Valley Mountain Resort.
Besides skiing, you can also try snowshoeing on special trails. They have a shop where you can rent equipment, take lessons, and grab some snacks. When the snow melts, Rim Nordic turns into a cool spot for mountain biking. They even host exciting bicycle racing events during the summer months!
Rim Nordic is part of a group called the Cross Country Ski Area Association of North America. It also works closely with the United States Forest Service to operate in the national forest.

- Black Diamond trails are the most difficult. About 33% of the trails are black. These are for expert skiers who like a challenge.
