Risco de los Claveles is a cool mountain peak in Spain. Its name means Carnation Crag in English. It's the second tallest peak in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. This mountain is 2,366 meters (about 7,762 feet) high!
You can find Risco de los Claveles in the northwest part of Peñalara Natural Park. It's about 700 meters north of the main Peñalara peak. This special mountain sits right on the border between the Spanish provinces of Segovia and Madrid.

Risco de los Claveles is a very sharp and rocky mountain. Its sides are covered with plants. Below 2,000 meters (about 6,560 feet), you can find lots of life.
- You might see tall pine trees growing there.
- Big birds like eagles and vultures fly high above.
- Many different insects also make their home on the mountain.
Higher up, above 2,000 meters, it gets colder and windier. So, you will mostly see tough bushes and grass instead of trees.
