The Tyne also has many smaller streams that flow into it. These are called tributaries. Some of them include:

- The Cock Burn: This stream starts at Lower Saltoun and joins the Tyne at Badger Wood.
- The Keith Water: This stream is made up of several smaller burns like Fala Dam Burn and East Water. It flows into the Humbie Water near Humbie Kirk.
- The Johnstounburn Water: This stream starts near Woodcote Mill. It joins the Humbie Water near Saltoun Forest.
- The Letham Burn: This stream combines with St Laurence House Burn. They join the Tyne on the edge of Haddington.
